Letter from Derek....

Dear all

For those who ask what will these conferences involve... There will be teaching on the Divine Will.  'What is the Gift of Living in the Divine Will?'.  I will begin with that in all of the conferences.  'Luisa as head of the mission'.  We shall do a deep dive on what the head of a mission is all about, and how Luisa is heading up this mission in the Divine Will.  Acts, rounds, etc.  Plus, a deep dive into Jacob's Well with Jesus and the Samaritan Woman.

However, the focal point of each retreat will be a personal encounter with God.  This is the essence of all 'catechesis' (a Greek word meaning 'oral instruction').  In the General Directory for catechesis there is a section entitled 'Pedagogy of God, source and model of the pedagogy of the faith'.  Pedagogy is in its basic understanding a model of teaching.  In Catholic theology, God is the pedagogue, he is the teacher.  'To help a person to encounter God is the task of the catechist' (p.156).  Consequently, everybody who comes to these retreats/conferences will be taught by God who will reveal himself to each person in precisely the way each person needs to encounter Him in order to progress on their journey.  I will prepare the teachings to a certain extent, but my preparation is mainly in silence and solitude so that my 'preaching may be more a spiritual practice than a vocal one' (St John of the Cross, 'Ascent of Mount Carmel').

I should also state that the attendees will also have an encounter with Luisa and their Angel.  Luisa is the one who gives each of us this gift, forms the acts in our soul, provides us with her diaries, and intercedes for each of us.  She will be interceding for us to have a greater understanding of the teachings of Christ so that each of us can become 'fully mature with the fullness of Christ' (Eph 4:13 from the General Directory for Catechesis, p.158).  Your Angels will be essential on this journey and we will probably witness in our lives far more angelic activity as the battle intensifies.  They are to protect, guide, take our 'spiritual suns' to the throne of God, help us to grow in His Will, and more.  It is my belief that we will experience more and more the ministry of the angels as we journey together in the Divine Will, and I have every confidence they will be powerfully present at these conferences, ministering to the delegates, bringing God's power and presence to each of us as we grow in His Will.

I hope that helps.

Fiat

Derek
